In Excel, sometimes users are required to add a link in the cell to refer to some related information file, document, web address, or email address and this can be done using the hyperlink feature.
By clicking on the hyperlink users can go and access that linked file, document, web address, and email address.
Hyperlinks are easy to recognize as they are underlined blue or purple-colored highlighted text.
There are multiple ways to add hyperlinks in Excel but in this tutorial, we have explained the keyboard shortcut to add the hyperlinks.

Steps to Insert Hyperlink Using Keyboard Shortcut
- First, select the cell, where you want to insert the hyperlink.
- After that, press the “Ctrl + K” keys and you will get the “Insert Hyperlink” dialog box opened.
- Now, select the file or enter the web link into the address field which you want to link in the selected cell and press “Enter”.
