How to use ISODD Function in Excel

Quick Intro

Use Excel ISODD Function to check whether a number is an odd number. If a number is an odd number it will TRUE else FALSE.



  • value Number which you want to test for the odd number.

More Information on Excel ISODD Function

  • If a number is enclosed in double quotation marks it will treat that number as a text & return FALSE.
  • If the value is not a number it will return a #VALUE error.


In the below example, I have used ISODD with IF function to deliver an alert message to the user if a number nested in the cell other than an odd number.
