ABS function returns an absolute number. In simple words, it returns a number after removing its sign.

## Syntax

ABS(number)

*number**A number or value to get a positive number of.*

## Examples

In the below example, to get positive numbers we have used ABS. It has just removed the negative sign from the numbers.

And here we have used ABS to get absolute values against the change in the interest rate.
